Montreal FSE

This track was made using the Montreal 2007 from Revamped Reloaded.

After sending my W.I.P. version to J.R Franklin to get some feedback and advice, he gave me some great ideas of ways to solve various problems, which I then implemented. New tree walls were added around the track to hide the many elevation changes. All new hi-res trees and tree shadows where added to enhance the effect and depth around the track.

J.R then contacted his friend and noted NR2003 track editor, Chris “Omodified” O’Shell, who was also working on a version of Montreal, but had to shelve the project due to work and other real life priorities. From this version, I was able to use several all new 3do's purposely built for this track by Omodified including:

• horizons

• outlying structures

• casino object

• water 3do’s and textures

• pit buildings and various other track buildings

• gantry bridges

• S/F flag box

• grandstands with 3d crowds

• street lights on the backstretch

In addition to the above, the following were added by me:

• New grass textures

• New armco mips

• New resized bridge 3do's and mips

• New billboards

• New reconfigured pit lane updated with control lights, pit boxes, etc.

• Populated the infields to give a more “race day feel”

Known Issues:

There are some holes in the track where the geography of the track does not meet. Any attempt to close these holes resulted in invisible walls appearing on the track surface itself. The first is in the chicane run-off area in turns 2 and 3, just above the NAPA logo. The second is in the Dodge hairpin infield area just below the Dodge grass logo. These holes will certainly stop corner cutting.

Sadly another track no longer on the Nascar Circuit but one which deserves to be remembered

giving some excellent races in its 5 years with the Nationwide series.
